Hi,

I experienced some troubles with the site,
so I let you know

1. The demo form redirects to

https://www.get-aura.org/demo/

with :

Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration, we've been unable to display the page you requested.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused, use the link below to try again, alternatively you can return to the board index.

    Errno [8] Undefined property: demo_controller::$email in home/panther/public_html/include/applications/site/main/demo.php on line 57

2. In my profile avatar file upload stalls (I've tried different sizes 50/100/150px)

3. Text of buttons is not visible without focus and is too low (partially hidden) when get the focus.

4. Topics titles font is very large in forum view, that makes long titles too much shortened

5. Contrast in code blocks is very low (white/lightgrey)

I'm using Firefox 60.8.0esr (64 bits)  and I've got the same with Surf (webkit)

Hope that this could help site Admins.

Hi dezix,

Thanks for joining us here and thank you very much for your feedback on the website. Funny you should mention this actually, as I'm currently busy working on it right now......... we're rewriting it to MVC to match the current design of the forum, so this has taken some considerable time.

I'm afraid for this reason the demo currently doesn't work. However, the release itself should if you want to download it and check it out on a live webserver. I apologise that things can't be more convenient for you right now.

As far as the other styling issues go, these are as a result of including our own custom header into the forum. We'll be working on them soon, hopefully as soon as the website is complete.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I hope this post has managed to reassure you a bit smile

Kind regards,
Christopher Marshall

Yes, certainly smile

I will keep this topic updated for you when any new info is available, or bugs .etc. fixed. William our styles lead is going to be available soon to fix the styling issues you mentioned, and I'm having a look at the avatars issue right now for you.

Looking forward to seeing you around, and thanks smile

Yes it's much better ;-))

The demo page now doesn't  show the demo form but an Aura download button.

I've tried from Android Icecat :

the main site works fine !

In the download page all versions are available but no checksum (present on desktop version)

The forum is not fully responsive -> necessary to zoom out even with landscape display

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-- Tell me or move this if you want a new "HTML5" topic --
My priority is to get a forum that fully complies with W3C standards showing Zero Warning/Error within the Validator
The second very important quality I 'm willing is a very friendly/usable text mode forum  without js (the must being no scripts client side)
That's why I went to FluxBB with this question:
https://fluxbb.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=9580
and I was starting to modify FluxBB when I found your project.
I've been looking the page code of Aura , it is HTML5 that shows still some bells (16) from validator :
https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.get-aura.org%2Fforums%2Findex.php%3Fapp%3Dforums%26act%3Dviewtopic%26id%3D263&submit=Check
But I'm sure it will be all right very soon !
By the way, do you have an estimated date for a pre-stable release ?
Thanks for checking out the site on Android Icecat for us, I really appreciate it! And it's even better knowing that it properly works, too.
Regarding the downloads page, are you sure you're scrolling down the page? This is what I'm getting on a desktop (click here for full-size): checksum.png
Thanks for your suggestion about the W3C Validator, too. I've made a ticket on this for the next release.
As far as the next release goes, I'd say with a honest opinion right now we're probably looking at around January.
This is primarily because I still have to code all of the back-end of this site and most of the work is just me by myself. The converter also needs updating but after the site the priority will be the next release. I've already fixed quite a few bugs, which is good, so it will keep on getting better.
FYI on a demo, this should be working within the next week or two. I currently disabled it because it's not active right now.
Kind regards,
Christopher Marshall
I checked again download page with Android -> Checksum lacking !
The bottom page shows just the footer no more.
It's a shame I'm not able to help you with PHP ... maybe one day ???
What I could do in a future (if I follow with Aura) is to collaborate to the spanish translation and improve french one if needed,
as I'm a froggy speacking quite well spanish ;-)
That's definitely something that would come in useful! One thing which I can guarantee is that none of the language files are going to be changed in the next version. We already have a Persian language pack and a German one, albeit slightly out of date now. But nonetheless, it would be hugely appreciated if you could do some translating for us! smile
The Project is still in its infancy, and while we've made great progress just over the last few weeks even we're still a few months away from a new release I think, purely because of volume of work. It is a shame though I agree- but..... ANY help is appreciated. No matter how small smile
Christopher Marshall
When replying in a discussion,
if a long piece of text is pasted in the edition area this block (edition) doesn't fit to the content,
resulting in a content overflowing the rest of the interface downward
This occurred when editing :
In languages packages page
https://www.get-aura.org/resources/languages/
Download buttons are not working,
maybe it's too soon
In the mean time I've created a new topic
as Multilang? is pretty old and Panther dedicated.
AURA : Languages / Translation Repository?
Multilang?
and
AURA : Languages / Translation Repository?
are links I have saved through the link form respectively :
https://www.get-aura.org/forums/index.p … opic&id=75
and
https://www.get-aura.org/forums/index.p … 1253#p1253
But links are lost in the resulting post.
Editing
https://www.get-aura.org/forums/index.p … pic&id=266
I experiment a (not so) funny behaviour :
as all the post was ready and formatted,
when I use the preview button, the preview display shortens the 2 last lines:
an empty line before" Thanks for sharing!"
I've believed that was only for preview but after posting I saw that the result was shortened too
Trying post editing the message I've get some unusual editing screen with only editor box.
This ended with a duplicate Topic
07:21:37#1 AURA : Language Packs Generation  (shortened)
07:24:12#1 AURA : Language Packs Generation (edited)
Hi,
This morning I realized when I tried to edit the duplicate mentioned before,
that there is a "real" problem with the WYSIWYG editor.
It does not allow you to change the format of previous and subsequent lines of a portion of text that has already been formatted.
Then the "Preview" and "Summit" buttons do not have the expected effect and return to a page showing an empty editor.
The solution to work around this, is to delete all the content to restore new unformatted content and then apply the formatting to the desired areas.
I hope that's clear enough,
you have to test it for yourself to see what really happens.
Ah now that's why because the WYSIWYG editor uses JavaScript for format. Though, this is a bug which needs taken care of. I hadn't thought of this. Could you make a ticket please? smile
Hello! First of all, good job on releasing updates to Aura!
I was wondering if the old bug on the poll system was fixed in these updates?
https://www.get-aura.org/forums/index.p … d=910#p910
Votes are not being counted/saved properly after more than (2 voters) for polls.
Also are there any release notes somewhere?
Chris98 said:
It doesn't seem like I can create any tickets, the option to create one does not exist.
Have a nice day.
