Passwords are very important. Think Panther should make a look how strong they are.

Currently limit is only 6 chars.

But there should be more like in other systems - suggest a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and other signs.

You must have literally read my mind big_smile

I've recently created a website for a client where we have a 'staff password policy'. This will allow the administrator to configure on the options page the minimum allowed length, the minimum number of digits required, minimum number of uppercase characters and minimum number of symbols - as well as the ability to force all users to periodically change their password after a set number of days.

I was thinking about implementing this functionality on the forum as well, but after what you've said I think I will definitely do it. I think it's important that Administrators have the ability to set the password quality of user accounts so that weak passwords can never be used.

** Edit **

I've just created ticket #YSO-309-10474 to address these concerns.
